Use the new Retiree Open Enrollment Checklist as a guide.

For 2014, Stanford retirees will have expanded benefits offerings to consider when it comes to selecting a health plan.

During the university’s annual Open Enrollment, which begins on October 28 and ends on November 19, 2013, retirees can choose from the same benefits plans offered last year or a brand new, non-Medicare health plan called the Stanford HealthCare Alliance (SHCA).

Open Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to change plans, and add or drop eligible dependents from coverage. Stanford is committed to providing you with the benefits that promote your health and well-being; it is your responsibility to make educated choices about the offerings and select the plan that is right for you. Information and tools are available to help you decide which offering is right for you, including a Retiree Benefits Fair and a Retiree Open Enrollment online presentation.
